We’re flying Lima to Cuzco in April of 2008 and would like to know which is the most reliable and/or best airline to fly with? Ive read that LAN are the best to go with but are the most expensive. Does any one recommend an airline for their reliability?
We used LAN. Sometimes, you get what you pay for. If you want reliability etc, I think it is worth it to go with the best even if it costs more.

I will be going to Lima and Cusco next month, and I am hoping to get a poncho and one of those traditional knit hats. Does anyone know the best place to buy these items in Lima or Cusco? Also, approximately how much do these things cost in US $?
You will have no problem finding these items in Cuzco, the whole town is filled with shops and markets filled with these sorts of items for tourists . . . you can literally just walk outside your hotel and find them. These things are available in Lima as well in some markets, but since the weather in Lima is hot and there are not as many tourists as in Cuzco I’d recommend waiting until you get to Cuzco to buy them. What price you pay depends on how good you are at bargaining . . . I wouldn’t pay more than 10 soles (3-4 US$) for a hat or more than 25 soles (8-10 US$) for a poncho.

About how long in a car and how many miles?
well, there’s a lot of ways to came to plaza san miguel. but it’s like 15 minutes in car if you go by costa verde, an avenue near to the beach.
but if you go by the city it’s like 30 minutes.

I’m go next month to Peru to stay there for two months. Thereafter i want to travel through South America. I will leave Peru half January and i want to go to the Carnival in Rio (end of February). im peruvian. im pretty sure you can travel from peru to brazil through the amazon . when you get to peru you have to get to iquitos which is a state in peru.there..you can find a lot of people who has boats and charges to go to brazil. through the amazon river. the amazon goes by peru ecuador brazil etc. you dont have to go to bolivia in order to get to brazil.if you want to go to brazil after peru…dont go to the capital cuz its too far….go to cuzco…dont go to the coast…only sierra and selva..iquitos is in the selva. check the map
